The other inductees from that year’s PFHOF class joined Strahan in tossing the ceremonial coin. As Terry Bradshaw (who had previously commented on the trophy ceremonies for Fox’s prior Super Bowl broadcasts) was grieving his father’s passing, Strahan also provided commentary on the trophy presentation for Fox. Michael Strahan Good Morning America

On October 1, 2010, while Regis Philbin was not present, Strahan co-hosted Live! with Regis and Kelly as a guest host with Kelly Ripa for the first time. In November 2011, Philbin left, leaving a vacancy. After 20 guest appearances over the course of two years, Strahan was selected as Kelly Ripa’s new co-host on September 4, 2012. This was his first official day on the rebranded syndicated talk show, Live! with Kelly and Michael. Ratings skyrocketed right once, with time slot gains year over year across all important demographics, surpassing its closest rival, NBC’s Today’s fourth hour, by 87 percent. On April 19, 2016, Strahan made the decision to leave Live! with Kelly and Michael and join Good Morning America full-time.

In 2018, Strahan and Sara Haines started anchoring GMA Day, a Good Morning America spin-off daytime chat show. The COVID-19 epidemic was covered extensively by ABC News, which contributed to the show’s cancellation in March 2020.

Michael Strahan Fox

On June 24, 2008, Strahan joined Curt Menefee, the host of the Fox NFL Sunday pregame show, and the commentator’s Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, and Jimmy Johnson.

In order to co-host the Fox NFL Thursday pregame show, it was determined that Strahan, Bradshaw, and Long would be the new owners of the rights to broadcast Thursday Night Football in 2018. In order to accommodate Strahan’s other live shows (see below), Fox NFL Thursday is broadcast live from New York City rather than Los Angeles, as a coast-to-coast commute on a Thursday night/early Friday morning would be unfeasible.
