Robles, who obtained a bachelor’s degree in broadcast television journalism from Chapman University, was born and raised in Orange County. He has covered numerous breaking stories during his time at ABC7, such as the aftermath of the Montecito mudslide, the deadly Thomas Fire in Ventura, and the mass shooting in Las Vegas.
Robles worked for KION-TV, the CBS affiliate in Salinas, California, for almost eight years before joining ABC7 in June 2014. He held a variety of positions at KION, starting in 2010 as an evening news anchor.
In Northern California, the station won three straight regional Emmys for best newscast (small market). Marc began doing anchor work for KION’s sister stations, KCOY 12 and KKFX FOX 11, which are located in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, California in 2012.
In 2006, Robles began his career in broadcasting as an Amarillo morning news anchor for KVII-TV. He competed in the Pro Mazda National Championship while driving open-wheel race cars prior to entering the broadcast news industry. He also still has a strong passion for motorsports and has been to the Indianapolis 500 every year since 1993. Along with his wife, two sons, and rescue dog Hayley, he resides in Pasadena.
