In addition to winning Best Actress at the 73rd Academy Awards for her title role in Erin Brockovich, Roberts has been nominated for four Academy Awards. Her performance also brought her a Golden Globe, a BAFTA Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. For her roles in Steel Magnolias and Pretty Woman, she was awarded a Golden Globe. As of 2019, she has had eight nominations. Roberts was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards: one for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie for her work in The Normal Heart, and the other for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her guest role on Law & Order.
