Then he moved as a reporter and bureau chief for KUSA-TV (NBC) in Denver. In early 1988, he become an anchor for the syndicated news program ‘Inside Edition’.
For three years from 1992 to 1995, he worked as a correspondent for Dateline NBC. He then move on to become the host of A Current Affair before he finally joined the Fox News Channel in 1996. Jon hosted Fox News Live on the September 11 attacks and was the first on-air reporter to share his guess that the perpetrator of the attack might be Osama Bin Laden. In 2011 May 1st and 2nd, he anchored at the studio for Fox News reports about the death of Osama bin Laden.
