Onile-Ere is thrilled to be returning home because she was born and raised in south Minneapolis. She worked as a correspondent for a national news network’s Detroit, Michigan office before joining FOX 9 in December 2017. In addition, Onile-Ere has reported and anchoring duties at the following stations: WJRT-TV, the ABC affiliate in Flint, Michigan; WDIV-TV, the NBC affiliate in Detroit; and the CBS affiliate in Duluth, Minnesota, where she started her career in on-air news.

Furthermore, Onile-Ere has reported on several major breaking news issues, such as the General Motors ignition switch recall, Flint’s water crisis, Detroit’s historic bankruptcy, and the murder trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Muhammad Noor.
