Allison Langdon is an Australian journalist, reporter, television presenter, and author. Currently, she is a presenter and reporter for the current affairs program 60 Minutes on the localized version. Previously, I was a co-host of the breakfast television programs Today and Weekend Today.

Langdon began her career as an intern with CBS in New York City after completing her journalism degree. She joined the Nine Network. Later, Allison became a producer for Nightline in 2001 and then entered the Nine’s Darwin newsroom. In her first year in the Top End, Langdon won the David Marchbank Award for Best New Journalist. As a political reporter for the Northern Territory, she traveled to Mexico and East Timor, covering stories for the news and the Sunday program.  Her skill and professionalism as a reporter emerged during the 2004 Australian Embassy bombing in Jakarta, where she was among the first Australian journalists on the ground. Daily, she filed stories for all of Nine’s bulletins.

Often, she used to work for the National Nine News afternoon edition and Friday morning editions. In 2007, she became a televised presenter for the channel. Allison reported in Marysville, Victoria, Australia, where 34 people died in an accident. Although the area was banned by the police, Langdon and her crew recorded the whole accident.  In 2011, she was appointed as a reporter for Nine Network, a 60-minute program. Allison became a senior reporter at the Sydney newsroom and persisted in filling in on Nine Bulletin and Today, where she was assigned as co-host on Today’s weekend show. In 2019, she was announced as a host along with Karl Stefanovic on a breakfast program on the Today Channel until January 2020. Besides being a journalist and a great TV presenter, she wrote her first book, The Child Who Never Was: Looking for Tegan Lane.
